That Time We Blated in Hotlanta

happy freakin' hump day y'all!!

I'm so excited for today's post because I get to tell you about all most of our trip :)

We made a 20 minute

..............

yes, you read that right, 

20 minute vlog 

and apparently it was too large to upload or send so I had to cut it in half. 

I need an iMovie for dummies guide. ha!

Alright, so onto the fun stuff.

(I totally stole all these photos from Dayna cause I'm still rockin' the droid and my camera sucks)

first of all, gf picked me up at the airport at 8am.
keep in mind that she's an hour behind me, so she had to get up at 3am.
thanks again girlfraaaand :) 

and of course, she made me a sign :)

and ran around the airport parking deck with it.

we played around in Buckhead

and then we went to a cute little tequila bar across the street from our hotel
to celebrate our trip :)

then it was onto our little surprise I had for the birthday girl.

that's right.
we got blowouts.
thanks to ashley's recommendation, we went to this cute little salon
called dry bar. I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you are ever
in Atlanta. For $35 you get your hair washed & styled and you get your choice of wine, champagne, or a mimosa. I will definitely be hitting them up for date nights ;)

We thought it would be fun to get our makeup done so we got a cab and headed to the mall.
(for that adventure, you have to watch our vlog....sorry!)

We ended up meeting up with another blogger, V, for dinner and drinks. Girls, if you don't follow this chica yet, you need to. She is a blast in a glass! jersey shore, anyone?!

ok anywayyyy

we had planned on hitting up a drunk brunch on saturday,
but someone (ahem) went a little hard the night before and the thought of drinking made us sick.
so we did the next best thing, hit up the free breakfast at the hotel.

then we got ready to meet this girl for lunch.
she's one of my favorite bloggers, so I can't even begin to tell you how ecstatic I was to finally meet her in person. let me just say, that these girls are all way more amazing in real life.
anyway, for the crazy nail story head on over to her blog and read her post from monday.

after all the craziness, we met up with my friend Jenny who just moved down there from Richmond.
We hung out before heading to the Braves game, which in and of itself was an adventure.

After the game, we got to watch a free little concert from B.O.B at the stadium. #nbd
I can't stop listening to his stuff now....thanks a lot sir.

sunday came and we packed up, got some starbuckys, made the crazy vlog below, and then headed to the airport. The weekend came and went far too quickly but don't you worry Atlanta, we'll be back! ;)

I was supposed to announce my sneakpeeq winner today but I'm still waiting to get the entry list so that'll have to wait. Sorry girls! :(

Last night I went to opening night of the squirrels with one of my good friends, Audrey.

We were instagram'n like cray cray and for the life of me I couldn't pull her photos down. 

oh well, probably for the best. 

anyhoo, here's what my little self managed to capture :)

we are definitely making an effort to get to some more games this season.

weekend recap

Well it's Monday again...already. Why do the weekends always seem to fly by? I sit here wishing my work days away for Friday. 

Last Friday I mentioned going to the Squirrels game with my sister. We got free tickets (score!) from one of her friends to the playoff game. 

Saturday wasn't too eventful; I went home to visit my parents (a whopping 20 minutes away.) But I also got to experience the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappachino for the first time...and let me tell you- I am a fan! That one actually trumps the PSL in my opinion...so if you haven't yet, go try one! 

Yesterday was all about football. I was pretty excited to do nothing all day but switch from game to game, but I've gotta say I was pretty disappointed in both of my teams. First, don't get me started about Peyton. Every sports analyst was arguing from both sides of this situation. Regardless of the side though, they did agree on one thing; we will suck this year! Ughhhh! I guess this will test and weed out the "true" fans from the bandwagon. My dad said to me "Well, now you get to experience them the way I did growing up when they weren't that good." Awesome. Too bad I started liking them the year before they became awesome. So I remember that....I don't need another season to make memories. 

um, where were the colts? oh yeah, they didn't show up. 

Anyway, regardless of this season, I will remain true to my team as well as this guy (who was handing out high-fives during games yesterday)...

Some of my friends went to the Giants/Redskins game yesterday and I'm so jealous that I couldn't go. I would've rocked out my Eli jersey regardless of the outcome. Honestly, I think they lost because I wasn't there. I've been to the last 2 games they've played each other in DC and the Giants won both times. Just sayin'. 

And last but not least, I put my Cinnamon Pumpkin wallflowers in yesterday so now my apartment smells like fall! Aaaand I painted my nails this nice little fall color.

Random Friday

It's finally Friday! Even with the short week it still didn't go by fast enough. There is so much going on today that I don't honestly think I can come up with a full post so it's going to be lots of random thoughts. Bear with me. 

Last night Toby had a random act of meanness and decided to pee in the bed. Let's not talk about how angry I was. Anyway, once I let him back in bed, I took the other pillow so he wouldn't have one. (I didn't realize how childish that sounded until after I read it but whatever....it's true.) After tossing and turning and trying every which way to fit on my only pillow left, this is what he does. Literally pushes me over so he can lay down. Really Tobes? Really?! 

What a little stinker! 

The birthday countdown is on! I've got 2 weeks to get my little booty into shape. The search for the new birthday dress is underway! I gotta find me something sexayy yet classy for dancin' :)

I'm so excited to be going to a Squirrels game tonight with my sister. Yes, I said Squirrels. That's what happens when you let an elementary school name your city's baseball team. Awesome. Regardless, I've been an awful fan and this is only my 2nd game this season. Maybe we'll get lucky and have seats behind home plate. That way I can have a good view of this:
