The Skinny on Being Skinny :)

happy hump day loves!
today I've got my girl Bethany sharing her secret on staying so skinny.
gf, you still owe me a skype date!
yep. I did just put that out there so now you're held accountable :)
anywayyy, y'all wanna read this, trust me.
**********************************************************************************

Hey y'all!
I'm Bethany from over yonder and I promise I'm not as po-dunk as I sound!
This is me:

uh-dorable. i know.
I kid, I kid.

I'm sticking with the Spring Break theme;
however, you will not be viewing any photos of me in a bathing suit.
I would like for your breakfast to stay in your bellies. (:

I titled my blog "Skinny is a Mindset" for a reason.
Let's all get over the vanity of being thin and focus on being healthy, shall we?
I mean, if you're eating right and exercising you won't be a ball of fluff, anyway!

I wanted to share a few tips to get your swimsuit bod ready for the sunshine:

[1] The darker the fruit, the more nutritious it is.
Let me first say that if you buy your produce from Wal-Mart or Aldi
you might as well cook your chicken in anti-freeze.
Seriously, once you have eaten organic produce you will never return to crap.
It really isn't much more expensive than Wal-Mart, either.
Honest!

So, I'm pretty sure I just busted all you apple eater's bubbles.
It's true. Apples are full of sugar; not nutrients.
Try sticking to citrus, berries, and red grapes.
Nom Nom Nom. (:

[2] Dairy is not your friend.
I love cheese. I eat it alone and could most definitely live off of it.
I love ice cream. I love milk. I loveeeee chocolate milk.
But, it does not love us.
In fact, it causes mucus to build up around your colon [quit laughing 'cause I said colon]
therefore you cannot assimilate nutrients properly.
That's right ladies... you may have just eaten a salad for lunch
but you will get the same nutrition as if you had eaten a Big Mac. Smh.
Alternatives?

Blue Diamond Unsweetened Almond Milk [yes, they make chocolate]!
It is soy free, dairy free, and gluten free.

So Delicious Coconut Milk Vanilla Yogurt.
It is soy free, dairy free, and gluten free too!
It is amaze balls. Especially with raspberries.

So Delicious has also come out with an amazing line of coffee creamers and ice creams.

As for the dairy?
Uhhhh... eat it in moderation?
I haven't found a solution yet.
But, I do a daily colon cleanse with Whole Psyllium Husks that I'm going to blog on very soon.
So, if your interested don't forget to add me and stay tuned!

[3] Last, but definitely not least, attempt a raw diet.
Anything made without preservatives and/or breads.
Grill some chicken, steaks, or burgers [no buns] and serve with steamed veggies.
Eat your fruits solo in between meals.
Do this as often as possible to maintain a healthy weight and proper energy!

All of these things will help you with bloating, fatigue, and proper nutrition.
The whole point of eating is to feed your body fuel.
The best fuel for your body are things packed with nutrition; not empty calories.

Also, every woman should start her day with at least 25g of protein!
I do 12 oz of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk and a scoop of chocolate Jay Robb Whey Protein.
It is delish and it keeps me full until lunch!

Hope I helped you guys prepare for Spring Break.
Enjoy the sun!
My thighs and I will be sitting at a computer reconciling bank accounts.
Buh-hum-bug!

I LIVE off of grapes. I seem to be buying a new bag of them every two days. I'm also a huge fan of anything grilled. If it's been fried, you better believe I'm staying away from that mess.
