It's Crunch Time

good mornin' lovebugs!
I'm in an unusually happy mood for a monday :)

Today starts what I like to call 'bikini bootcamp'
I've been dieting on and off since January but I now it's time to get serious and get down to business. I'll be rockin' a bikini memorial day weekend and my goal is to actually be rockin' the bikini ;)

So from here on out, you will hear me refer to Memorial Day weekend as doomsday.
In order to get me this rockin' bod, I created a plan.

each week I'm going to create a new plan for myself so I can see where I fall short and where I progress.

I was on the oh so addicting pinterest and found this website to help you lose belly fat fast.
The awesome thing about this site is that it's realistic. Unlike the fad diets or pills, I really believe that if you start doing some of the things they suggest, you really can lose it fast.

So, I've gotta change my diet a bit.
It's not gonna be easy but it's gonna be so worth it.

If I haven't said it enough, I could eat mexican every.single.day
And have sweet frog (fro yo) almost as much.
So I've made a list of foods that I'm not even gonna touch til I hit my goal....and by then, I'll be so used to not eating it, that I probably really won't want it that bad.

That being said, I've cut out mexican food until Cinco de Mayo....and then no more after that day until after doomsday.
I'm going to cut out sweet frog, my starbucks lattes and sweet teas, and bread.

I've also created a new workout plan for myself, cause I tend to get bored doing the same thing everyday. I was talking to my brother, who is a fitness guru, and he said that a good way to shed fat fast is by running sprints. girls, the last time I ran sprints was in the 8th grade when I was on track team! Needless to say, sprints are now part of my workout routine. I plan on running them 3 days a week.

I'm trying my best to stay positive because I know that mindset is half the battle.
So here's to Monday and the start of a new routine!

Do you have any tips or know of anything that worked to get you a bikini body?
If so, spill! :)

And if you haven't entered our bangin' summer beauty giveaway, you can do so here.
It ends today!!

xoxo.

Good for you!!! I can't cut myself off from eating anything, because then I want it more, so I just limit myself. Although, when I want to drop a few, I just don't eat fried food for a month or so, and bam! It works! The EASIEST things to do are A) no soda, not even diet- stick to water. B) watch your sodium and sugar in take C) ONLY eat whole grain and avoid white flower and rice. You can TOTALLY eat Mexican, but only homemade! Get La tortilla whole wheat tortillas and you can make enchiladas, cook them in the oven to make hard taco shells, and/or make soft tacos. I use spinach instead of lettuce, fat free cheese (or no cheese), and usually throw in red bell peppers and onions. It's amazing how good homemade can be..especially when there is no guilt!

Yaaay for fitness goals!!!!

I actually just last week had to do a health screening at work, and while I passed all the blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol and BMI tests, I was shocked at my weight and waist measurement.

I'm attributing it to the dreaded "love chub".

I now have a goal to drop 5lbs and lose at least one inch off my weight, and believe it or not, I'm using the Slim Fast 3-2-1 plan, in addition to exercising for one hour 5 days a week (whether it be via bootcamp or my own exercise vids).

Good luck with your plan - I will be blogging about my plan & progress and def will be following yours too :)

Are you on myfitnesspal or any other calorie trackers? They really help to see where all your calories (or sugar or fat) are coming from. Sometimes what I think will be healthy totally isn't. If you end up with myfitnesspal, let me know and we can be friends! :)

I have been doing this app called Lose It where it helps you keep track of your calorie intake and exercise. I like it, and I think it's helping me keep my weight down! I for sure took Sunday off though...

i am so impressed that you can give up mexican food like that. i am with you i could eat it every dayyyy for the rest of my life!!! i've heard about sprints being awesome for burning calories too but i always feel ridiculous when i run sprints so i can't get myself to do it!! but i am kind of obsessed with your organizational skills to plan all this out. can't wait to hear about how it goes!
