Today I'm linking up with Neely to talk about favorite holiday traditions. It's gonna be hard to choose just one, so you guys might get a couple ;)
Something we've done every year since I can remember is to go to this one house to look at Christmas lights. As a kid, we would all pile in the car {grandparents & all} with the purpose of going to see this house. You may be wondering what's so special about this house. Well, have a look for yourself. view from down the street
What used to be just one house, has now turned into two. The neighbors are actually in-laws so they now participate in this tradition. Now, every Christmas, I still manage to go visit this one house. Makes me feel like a kid again. :)
Another tradition that kind of just randomly came about one year was making cookies on Christmas Eve with my sisters. We always go to church Christmas Eve and then hang out with our cousins either at our house or theirs. We usually get done pretty late with that but we still want to make cookies. So come midnight we're all in the kitchen baking away. We don't get done until around 2 or so and I guess the tiredness sinks in and we all start to get a little crazy. Like laughing for no reason {or at the dumbest stuff.} It's crazy how it just came about but it's something we look forward to every year.
What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?xoxo.

Good gracious at that house! I don't think I've seen anything like that before!
Lets see..traditions, here's two:
1.) Every Christmas morning, instead of drinking my normal cup of coffee, my dad makes me homemade hot chocolate on the stove and normally has it ready for me when I wake up. He's done that for years and years
2.) Every Christmas morning, we appoint someone to be "Santa" and they're in charge of passing out presents. But we unwrap each present one at a time. Like, my mom will open one of hers, we talk about it, my dad will open one of his, we'll talk about it, and then I'll open one of mine. We continue this until all the presents are gone. It can take a few hours, no joke. :)
Oh my goodness, this is absolutely crazy! My family would pile into a car to go see this too!

I love that you all have such sweet traditions. Family traditions are so priceless...the older I get the more sentimental I get about them.
Hope you are doing well lady!
The lights on that house are amazing! Reminds me of Christmas Vacation! Every year my sisters and I drive around our neighborhood and we vote on the best lights for a prize. I really love when things are all lit up!
Sarah, love, we're clearly in the same family and are totally unaware of it. lol. Every Christmas Eve my sister and I bake cookies and every year we pile into my grandpa's van and go Christmas light spotting. clearly we both know how to celebrate a holiday. lol. love this. thanks for sharing, love. If you get a second I'd love to hear what you think of my latest outfit. I shot it in front of Dee's house from Clueless. I'm sorta obsessed. lol. xo
